Dr Andreas Siebold is an internationally renowned specialist in Periodontics and Oral Medicine, with four decades of expertise in clinical practice, education, and research. Based in Johannesburg, Dr Siebold's academic journey began at the University of Pretoria, where he obtained his BChD degree and MChD master’s degree. He further solidified his academic standing by earning a PhD in Dental Medicine (Dr. med. dent.) from the prestigious Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany.
Dr Siebold’s dual exposure to South African and European academic and clinical settings has enabled him to bring a unique, global perspective to the field of periodontology. He is a former president of both the South African Society for Periodontology (SASP) and the South African Society for Dental Implantology (SASDI). His leadership extended to serving as a director of the South African Dental Association (SADA), where he chaired the education committee.
As an accomplished researcher and renown international lecturer, Dr Siebold has made significant contributions to periodontal regeneration, implantology, and advanced surgical techniques. His scholarly work, including published research and keynote presentations at international conferences has seen Dr Siebold travel to numerous states in the USA and Europe, including Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, underscoring his commitment to excellence and advancing dental science.
